Re: Post your firebird pics
It needs lowered and the finish is definitely starting to show some wear as it turns cloths red when I wax the hood and top, but it still shines up pretty well.
Eventually plan to have it sit low, I did these shoops but I don't think I'd go this low with the camber curves and roll center in mind. The wheels are a lot bigger and they're 5Zigens instead of the 4th gen SS wheels that are actually on it as well. So they're not realistic, but they are food for thought. It's not for everyone, but I really dig the s13 / ae86- eque stance and styling.

My red paint, also original, rubs off too...I was told it was because red has a soft pigment. (??)

Not stock to the car,it had the standard aluminum factory wheels, but I had a 86 back in 1988 that had those rally II style wheels,I got them and color matched them to the car.
I had been looking for another bird for a while, either 2nd or 3rd gen,I had both when I was younger,I bought the trim rings at a flea market 2 years ago,I told my wife I had the trim rings, just need the rest of the car.
She thought I was going about it ***-backwards but those trim rings were the first step in a long search for a clean and cheap firechicken

Re: Post your firebird pics
I have noticed bubbles in my paint.......I wonder how much my cousin-in-law would charge for a complete paint-n-body job. I jusat cleaned the area up, and I seems I am very lucky. My quarter panel is untouched...it it just the bumper that needs adjusting and paint.

Oh crap CB! Looks like the Geo wasn't as lucky. You can buff that out, right?

Re: Post your firebird pics
I just cleaned up the damaged area and it looks like only the bumper and gfx will need attention. The actual quarter panel doesn't seem to have any warping or anything. Whew!!!! Will have my wife's cousin repaint it all for me.
I bought the geo so it would take all the damage instead of the bird and trust me, it has. I have so many door dings and side swipes on the geo from parking lots that I really don't care about that. It's the paint damage on the bird that i'm mad about.

Re: Post your firebird pics
just a more recent photo of mine, the cragars are no longer on the car, i got the stock crosslace on now, i just ordered center caps for them, the wheels were in good shape. And yes the front wheels are the back, and back on the front i used a wheel spacer. Clears the tie rods nicely
