Re: Post your firebird pics
figured i would post up some of my old bird...
i ended up selling this car and hate myself for it. my friend used to see it all the time. i ended up talking to him and he said he hasent seen it around in a while. Really sucks because after i sold it the kid never took care of it. ive been keeping an eye out around here for a formy the same color so i can recreate my ol bird.

Re: Post your firebird pics
New sig. Maks has hounded me a couple times because I haven't changed my old signature from before I had the car painted. There you go man! This was at the school track, thought it looked cool with it partially in the light, and as I was making my 100th lap, had my girl take the picture with her phone.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Transmetal is right, I got 'em off TGO a couple years ago. Keep your eyes open on the classified forums. They pop up for sale every now and then. Expect to pay $100-150 for 'em. I love they way they make the dash look. Completely changes the entire appearance of the dash and it takes all of thirty seconds to accomplish.

Re: Post your firebird pics
I was wondering when you were going to chime in. Still daily driving the Bird?? Not me! Like I said I would, I purchased a Geo. $650/4cyl/5-speed. Calculated my first tank the other day, 52.3MPG!!! That's over double what I was getting in the Bird(even with a V6.) Also it doesn't take THAT long to get up to speed getting on the highway. I'm saving $40/month in insurance. All this money will be going into the Bird.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Well I've driven several places thus far and feel soooo much better I have a Metro as a daily because I don't care if someone backs into it. Was always worried about that with my Bird.

I've seen your bird on craigslist a few times, can't believe nobody has bought it yet.

Re: Post your firebird pics
@punzak9- I'm probably asking too much for the condition it's in. Thanks though. I really don't know, I have only even had one call about it, a guy was trying to diagnose the emissions stuff. I tried telling him that I knew what was wrong, I just wanted to sell it, but I don't think he was interested. For now it's just sitting in the garage, and it's going to stay there until I have something worthwhile to replace it with.
Btw, what part of Pittsburgh are you from?
@Charcoal- I don't know man. I really don't. I guess I'm just tired of all the nickel and dime stuff. I hate the engine, the rattles and squeaks, just all of it. I want something new. The car needs so much work to get to where I would be satisfied. If it was in the shape of say, Iansane's car, or TPITerr's, or Mike's it'd be a different story. I made the decision to save up for the GTO, but it's gonna be hard to sell the bird. I wish I could have both, but there's just no way. If I went back to 3 cars again, my gf would probably just leave. I wouldn't say that I've given up on thirdgens, just given up for now. If/when I sell my bird, I'll probably want another one. Maybe after the GTO is paid off. It's sad either way.

@Orinackra
Im in the North Hills, right by the high school actually. There are a few other thirdgens over here, but I never see them at the car crusises. And I know exactly how you feel about you car. It sounds like are birds are pretty much in the same condition, and sometimes I hate driving it. I always talk about how I want to get rid of it and upgrade to a 2000's mustang or something, but then there are other times where I love my car and want to hold on to it and fix it up as much as possible. I guess after dealing with all kinds of little annoying problems year after year it gets tiring.

Re: Post your firebird pics
orinakra, hey man, u know these cars have their goods and bads compared to new cars (computers, sensors, motor mounts,etc)....if ur upset ur not selin it yet, dont worry someone will ****** it away as soon as this snow clears up, peoples bank accounts are replenished from the holidays, and people have extra time in the summer to spend on cars....but dont let it bring u down, as with all birds and maros, these will have there value as time goes on....really nothing is hurting it to sit other than u may need the cash for a down payment (obviously give it a start up now and then)...aside from that u have a nice peice of history sitting next to you that i promise u will miss even though u may not think so...anyways good luck with it man...ill pm u visiting pitt next week
