NY3RDGEN, that's a sweet looking ride. I was going to ask what that was hanging down in the front but then clicked on your link in your sig and realized it's an intercooler. That thing must fly.
I also noticed you went without a wing (like myself) do you plan on ever putting one on? I noticed you still have the clips on your hatch, I had grinded mine off as I didn't plan on ever putting one back on.
Also, have you ever brought it to a track? 1/4 mile

Re: Post your firebird pics
A little off topic, but it looks like I will no longer be able to contribute to this thread after this week. The bird is going to a new home. I'm trading her in on an '05 Grand Prix GXP. I don't want to, but the transmission in my GTP **** the bed, and its way up there in miles, so I made the decision to get rid of both cars and get something more practical. You know, by practical I mean a V8 GP haha. That in turn, will be collateral for the GTO I plan on getting in a year or two.
Anyways, I had a lot of fun in my thirdgen, but like mother birds, it's time to let her loose in the wild. I'm gonna stick around, and I have a feeling I'll be in another thirdgen in no time.
I posted here just so CB and Maks would know... I feel like we have alot in common with these cars.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Thats unfortunate. As Mak said though, gotta do what you gotta do. Stick around the boards, keep us updated. Your input on our rides is always appreciated. Oh and uh...got any extra parts? Or maybe some aftermarket parts on the bird that could be removed before trading it in?? It didn't hurt me to ask.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Thanks guys. I feel like this is a family, and I'm giving up one of my kids for adoption! I will definitely check the boards as much as I do now.
Oh you better believe I kept a few items. My billet shift ****, center caps, hood grills, led third brake light. A friend of mine ALMOST had another set of wheels for me, I would have swapped and kept the WS6 wheels.
There's even more in the garage. I'm selling my UMI subframes to a local guy tomorrow. But I make this vow now, I WILL be in another thirdgen one day. Actually I plan on keeping tabs on my bird.... in a few months I'm gonna fix and sell my GTP and go hunting for it.. maybe I can buy it back!
But yeah, the GXP is a really nice car, and it has an LSx! (LS4)

I love the sights gained here in the U.S. that can be taken with our cars...but...I miss the european shots that i've been to that could have been taken. I lived in Germany from 92' until 97' if only I had my car there.

Mikey, thanks for the input. I may try that on an extra center piece just to see how it turns out. Yours came out looking rough/not shiny. Try wetsanding with 1000 or 1500grit and then buffing. It makes it look a lot better.

Took this today at the last Pontiac dealer in Vegas while I still had a chance to. Pontiac is officially dead as of 10/31. Pontiac dealerships contracts with GM ended sunday, now all remaining Pontiacs are considered used. RIP Pontiac.

Car is looking good Mak. It's definitely nice not to have to pop the hood to raise/lower the lights. After so long of doing it, I had to fix them. Yours was an easy fix too.

Re: Post your firebird pics
I know what i understand from fairmont,wv its about 2 hrs.....u end up selling those ttops and subframe connectors??? Also, we may have to talk about a pontiac meet hmmmmmmm
Charcoal, seriously something so simple as a fried headlight control module, if i hadnt check that i would have probably gutted another headlight motor... ... atleast i learned how use rubber hose line to rebuild em
recaro, doubt those problems should slow u down and not have fun with it...

Re: Post your firebird pics
I had the UMI's. And honestly, I might as well have just given them away. I wish I hadn't sold them.
This car needs to go before i decide to start modding it again.
