Painted the Firebird
Painted my slower firebird, the one i started out with only 3 months ago and the one car that started it all, this passion for thirdgens, cars, and just showing off in general. I don't think I would have picked up the GTA I have now if it wasn't for this car
I'm now selling it to my best friend and we plan to have alot of fun with our cars and im lucky my baby gets to stay close and i can still work on her in the future...but for now my attention is on a dream that came true out of nowhere...the GTA I picked up, and i thought i was in love with the firebird...ill make a thread later...still checking into all the VIN and RPO stuff

I assume by the looks of it you were going for that stealthy kinda look. I like it. You do need to black out the wheelwells. Its all about the details.

Re: Painted the Firebird
ok this car needs just a few tweaks that would make a hell of a difference. First off, TIRE SHINE. the tires almost match the paint of the car Then you need to either clean out the wheel wells or undercoat them. The car isnt lowered, so u can clearly see the wheel wells, which is not really a bad thing, but should look clean if u can see them.
some other things u could do, but arent totally necessary: removal of side trim and addition of TA wing (85-90 style or 91-92)
just change a few simple things and it will look great. good work on the paint

lmao thanks guys!
yeah wheel gap is oh so present, good idea on blacking out the wheel wells tho will do...I also plan on painting silver around the outside edge of the rims up to the spokes so they don't look so ghetto LOL
I think the deal might fall through selling it to my best friend and all...her parents think its too much of a car for her to handle or something...LOL...yeah...i mean i let her test drive it in a empty parking lot and I almost crapped my pants!
Removing the trim might be hard cause the paint dosen't match underneath of course XD
And a bigger spoiler but non-Trans Am would be sick.
...gotta go work on it now acctually...gunna replace the water pump cause it dug a grave

Re: Painted the Firebird
Interesting. I agree with the clean up ideas though. Did you clear the wheel color? I'm having difficulty also in the pic seeing the stripes from the base color. And I definately would have taped the hood louver mesh-I think that was a mistake.
