1988 Trans AM GTA

Went out and took some new pics of the car last weekend. The car isn't perfect, but it still photographs pretty nicely. Probably going to go back out again soon to get some more along with the wifey's car.

Very nice, I like the RAI hoods better on these style birds than the RAII. Are you going to change the wheels?

Re: 1988 Trans AM GTA

Thanks for the compliments. As for the wheels, yes, eventually they'll be changed to black 17-inch ZR1s or Black CETA 17-inch wheels. Haven't decided on which style yet. Kind of leaning towards ZR1s because I know where I can get a set at a good price. I think the black wheels with red calipers will look really good against the Gunmetal.

The foglight lenses were blue when I bought the car. Not a big fan of them and have been dying to change them back to the clear style, but I continually get out bid on eBay everytime I come across a set. Oh well. They'll get changed back to the original clear eventually.

I hate the way your hoods line up, you should at least be able to get the formula hood to line up good, the fiberglass one might have other problems though. Other than that, everything looks pretty good

i'm probably in the minority, but i don't like the ram air hoods on the 3rd gen cars. i like the stock GTA hood way more...

other than that, i love the color. my first 'bird was that color.

I tend to agree with you at least in this case, not feeling the hood on that car.

But holy damn I love that gunmetal grey color. It looks absolutely stunning on GTAs/TAs.
