After a long stay away from street cars I thought it was time to get another IROCZ! Here is the build thread of my 88 Iroc-Z. Car was luckily really solid and ran when I got it. The transmission did have issues. It is a good starting point.

Here it is the day I bought it. Silver with black/brillant blue striping.

 

The teardown process started pretty quickly after I got it home. Was extremely happy to find no rust whatsoever on the floors!!

Building the 5.3 LM7 while waiting for the car to return from paint. Its pretty much a stock 5.3 with 706 heads. Comp Cams camshaft and springs.

 

Mocking up and testing the fitment of the CXRacing Turbo Kit

 

Wetsanded and buffed and ready to finally come home

 

UMI tubular K member installed, engine installed. Brake upgrade with Forged superlites installed

 

Turbo mocked up, for the most part it fits pretty decent

 

Front suspension installed and Modded the rear tailights to the all red lenses.

 

Checking hood clearance def gonna have some issues with the steel cowl hood.

 

This is the current state of the car and where I am in the build process. I will try to keep the thread updated with more detailed posts as I go!
