So where's the photographs of this alleged "cool third gen."
;P ;P
Well, I'm literally emailing him photos right now. I suppose I can throw an extra or two up here and on my instagram, but would that steal his thunder? It's his car build thread, after all
Minimally, one can get by with about five (5) good pictures: Two or three exterior pics (different angles), plus one (1) interior pic, and one (1) pic of the engine. Looking at these latest photos you've posted, I would say that you've got the exterior covered (although we wouldn't be able to use any of the ones that are obviously 'doctored'. You need to be able to submit a good interior pic and an engine pic.
All aspects of the vehicle must be in a clean and completed state.
Feel free to PM me or respond here if you have any questions, concerns, or would like clarification.
I nominated your car for COTM. I love this thing. I'm planning to build a Camaro for the Newfoundland Targa so this thing is right up my alley... Except those rough roads would rip the aero stuff off the bottom of the car... I'll actually be installing a skid plate and keeping the car at stock height just so it survives.

ok awesome. Keep in Ming this is no show car.. it's purpose built and driven hard... I did not take the photos that are posted up but I do know a few of them are not doctored... I will go through my computer and find some pics... as far as the interior goes .. the seats are worn because I daily drive this car as well as drive the hell out of it.. I'll look through my pics and post them up.. where should I post them?
wow!!! car turned out awesome
not sure if you posted about the fenders, i may have just missed the info on them there's so much to take in lol
what did you do to them, are they custom ? love the look
I am also aiming to turn my 89 iroc into a mod car that people respect. It's going to be thrice as hard for me since I don't know anything about cars lol. Great job on your car and I hope you win COTM!!

The fenders are in the thread somewhere lol they are dance fenders.. from there original molds.. not the new smaller molds. The fenders are 2.5 inches on each side up front and the tears are 2 inch on each side. I squeezed as much out of them as I could. They are molded and bonded and body worked smith and seamless.

Thanks buddy. Never back down from a challenge. You learn every step of the way
Wow that's awesome! I just saw that video of the smoking-tire YESTERDAY, and I bought a Camaro this morning only to come on here and think "I recognize that car??"

gotta get rid of that rear diffuser though. not a fan of that at all
Truthfully I don't care what it looks like. Though I do like it, that's not why I built it.. function over form.. though at some point I may make a different one
Just read through your build and see it quite often on Instagram, absolutely loving the car man. amazing work building all that stuff too, might have to give ya a call when it comes that time for my car.
So, if you do start a small production run of those front air dam/splitters, I definitely want one. If that doesn't happen, you HAVE TO do a video and show us how you did it. I like yours a lot but I would probably go a litter taller on the dam and not so wide on the splitter.

The splitter might still go into production. But I will at the very least be making another one for the Rsr. I can do a video at that point
I know this is reviving an older thread but a lot of these mods are very neat and after reading through your thread you’ve done some nice work! I was also wondering as if there was any possibility of getting one of those front splitters? It is very nice!
soooo i finally got some time to tinker on the camaro... andddd i must say i like where its headed.... still need to do my brembos though, can you gues what size tire is under the front end?
a little update since the last time I logged in...
got it on its wheels, it stops and turned like an absolute monster. Decided I need more downforce for I’ll be ditching the duck tail and going full wing .
it will be chassis mounted through the rear deck lid with seals and drains to seal out weather . The width of the wing is 72 inches with 6x12 end plates in carbon.
currently replacing the carpet, seats, repainting the cage section and shock resis.
installed a new headliner in alcantara, wrapped the a pillars to match as well
also installed the chippernut v3 siquential shift light and machined the gauge bezel make it fit inside of it.
while I was at it I converted the headlight switch to a 2016 mk6 jetta headlight switch with auto on feature.
the bezel will be apolstered in alcantara to match as well.
I will be doing the window switches to match as well.
