Re: GM Nationals THE IROC CAMARO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
If you're coming from Mass and want to see Camaros, you may want to visit the Camaro Nationals as well (or instead). Its not far in to Md from Carlisle, Pa. Its the same weekend, but a Fri-Sat show where Carlisle is Fri-Sun.
I've been going to Carlisle for years since I live so close, and last year, quite frankly, IT SUCKED.

Re: GM Nationals THE IROC CAMARO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
Thanks for the info. I'm having the car displayed @ Carlisle since it's been accepted into there special IROC event. I like the idea of the 3rd Gen. being one of the main events being held! Specially since the IROC turns 30 this year.. Camaro Nationals don't have any 3rd Gen. Special events posted. Ive gotten good Carlisle show feed back from other GM car owners @ local cruse nights & meets.. Maybe I'll see you at the Camaro Nationals next year..
I'll be there too. I tried to get 'an event' posted in that section, but never was able to get anyone to post it. Seems it would be a great gather spot for TGO this year....

Re: GM Nationals THE IROC CAMARO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
Jerry Palmer was there. He is the guy who led the design team that created the third gen Camaro. Very interesting guy to talk to (and he signed my car).
Interesting fact... the front and rear wheel 'flares' on the fenders/quarter panels are slightly different. I never noticed before. He said it happened by accident; but they went with it anyway (and it turned out good). Now, every time I have looked at one of our cars since then I notice.....

Re: GM Nationals THE IROC CAMARO CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
It was a great weekend. started out at South Mountain Raceway in Boiling Springs for me and a couple of other members of MM. This is one cool old racetrack.
then of course saturday it rained.
it was windy too
i brought home second place in the 82-92 camaro modified class
thirdgens well represented on sunday
we're gonna do it again next year, but this time we will rent one of the larger 20x20 tents.
