Your car looks great! The black out on the headlights is one thing I really like on thirdgens. Give the car a lot of attitude. Is the hood you have steel or fiberglass? I know in '82-'83 you could get a fiberglass hood but I haven't seen a lot of them.

Mine is fiberglass, or "SMC", whatever you want to call it. Thats why I have it. Im trying to make this an autocross car while keeping a stockish appearance, and so with that hood I was able to cut the weight down a bit. It actually has the factory 1982 paint on it...

the other thing is I think the 82 hood fits the body lines of the 91-92 gfx surprisingly well. It's not perfect, but it fits the theme really well. I had actually been wanting one on the car for years but you just dont see many of them, especially in fiberglass.
I got this for $75 off cragislist, and this is what it looked like the first day it went on the car:
Plastidipped it:
Peeled the dip, then polished it:
And of course I used to dip to paint the scoops. If youll notice I actually put new ground fx on the car during this time frame also, and they ALSO were the same color as my car. Never had to paint them or anything. In fact you'll notice the front ground fx paint is better than the paint on the rest of the ground fx around the car... LOL.

I got some fresh pictures... I thought these two locations were amazing. Car broke down on me at the second location. Embarassing. Still not exactly sure what happened but I think I've got it ironed out now. Had to replace a fuse basically.

Yeah I told him not to get one of those ugly MR2s but I fell in love with it pretty quick. It's a really neat car. Has a lot of head/leg room too.
I realize I dont have many other details about the car up... My driiive.com page has more details. But I figure I'd be more thorough and try to focus on this one thread instead of making new ones every once in a while.
Anyway thanks for the kind words... there's a LOT of much nicer cars here than mine. Mine is pretty modest. It's special to me only because it's mine.

Re: Red RS with 82 Z hood and ZR1s
Made some big changes with my panhard bar relocation bracket and it paid off at the autocross... had to learn where the limits of the car are all over again but I was able to push it pretty hard. I only got half my normal runs in before it poured down rain on us and the course was terrible for my car.
