Re: My new $300 86 Iroc-z28
only have drivers corner to mid way done but yes led lit there tucked away so no wires show need to find a button that when pushed in will interupt the power(hood closed) and vice versa the gloss paint should really make everything pop now if I could just get a motor to place in it
Car has really come along way since I got it since i bought this one i havent seen another thirdgen priced this low some lady had an 88 hardtop v6 hadnt been run in 4 years she wanted 1000 for it because a mechanic told her the rear window was worth 600.....
Aw, c'mon... it'll buff out! Just needs a little elbow grease!
Nice find man, I love cars like this. Limitless potential with a low sticker price! You can literally do just about anything you want with the car and you don't even have to tear it down first because somebody did it for ya already!

After two of my rims came missing last fall I moved the majority of the good stuff out to my buddy's shop. The stuff that came up missing this time was in the scrap pile and on it's way to Alter.

Well I have collected my fair share of parts and should probably seek some therapy for my obsession LOL!

Glad to see the new title and the new work on your car! Update on my camaro, has now been upgraded to daily driver considering a deer decided to run across the street in front of my truck! When i saw blood on the windshield I knew I was screwed. Took out hood, bumper, headlight, grill, radiator, and a bunch of stuff behind the grill. It was a KO, hit it and it didn't get up!

Them are some nice lookin wheels.
Look a hell of a lot better on your camaro than they did on my s10.
Have you thought of getting some deep dish c5's? They would look pretty similar to the ones you posted up a while back. (Next post)

Need opinions
Got the wonder bar and sway bar out should I have them done in red, blue, black, or maybe even a different color? The k member will be black LS intake will be gun metal grey or maybe blue if I do the wonder/sway bar in blue and then once I get corvette coil covers will be matched to the sway bar unless i do them black which then ill do the covers red or blue

I'm a fan of chassis and suspension parts being black, but I prefer more of a sleeper look. Red screams out look what I did, where as black is slightly more subtle. If you change your mind after you order it, you can always repaint it. It's your car, build it the way you like it.

I'm in a similar boat, I'll never be able to pull off a full sleeper with the LS swap, but when my car does still have the 3rd gen dash and interior except for the seats. I just prefer for everything that has been done to my car not to be obvious. Whatever you decide, post some pictures, gotta be able to get my car fix in somewhere. I've been watching this one for a while, and it's looking like I won't even be able to see my car until maybe Christmas.

Never have had an issue with anything Duplicolor, I doubt you will with their bedliner.
When you get the motor ready to go are you going to paint the block/heads the same blue? I think it would look pretty good to tie it all together

2" all the way around will work if you're running a stock rear/brakes. I have 2" plus a quarter inch shim on just the front to get my wheel to meet the fender evenly. You don't NEED the shims, I just put them on to be even.

autozone has engine stands for i believe 79.99 and they are lifetime warrantied, you do have to put it together though, mine is not form autozone but very similar, i bought it at a tractor supply type store for 49.99 lol, man inside your valve covers puts mine to shame, mine is horribly dirty by comparison

Re: My new $300 86 Iroc-z28
How did you get power from the battery to the car while the engine is out? Just picked up an 87 IROC roller and I'm sort of at a loss on how to hook the battery up lol!
