'86 IRoc Z

Well its been a hell of a project. (Who knew putting a small block in a Camaro that had a small block would be so hard right?) Here is my 1986 IRoc. Picked up the rolling chassis for $1000. Very minimal rust. Dropped in a 383 that my Dad and I put together. TH350 that I got off of Summit. Welded in a roll cage. Hacked a hole in my IRoc hood and tacked on a cowl. (Waiting on finding a good deal on a real cowl.) A bunch of other minor tweaks to make her mine.

This weekend I'm swapping in a 4th gen rear. It has 3.42 gears and a locker. Also disc brakes, which I didn't have before. Friend of mine has a C6 Corvette that he just ordered new wheels/tires for, so I plan to swap to his C6 wheels/tires.

In the future I hope it can look as good as some of y'alls third gens.

Thanks! I never really noticed how good the blue looks it till I got it. Always wanted a flat black third gen. Now I am in love with it.

Goodmark 2in. steel cowl would look nice on that car. I think they blend better than the 4in. unless you need it. 2in.will also go nicely with the C-6s
