You've probably did this already but have you tried adjusting the bracket in the middle of the bumper, you know where the bumper meets the latch?
I wonder how one of these would look if you only painted the roof and A and B pillars black...

I tried that, even made the slots longer so it would move a little more.

I like it, I'm thinking of some kind of silver on top of a metallic orange.

To each his own, but I find it extremely hideous when you put the transition line at the shoulder of the car (along top of fender/bottom of windows). Less is definitely more with these cars in general, very few stripes look good on them, chrome doesnt look good. Different colored GFX only looks good with 82-90 gfx and only if you use the proper pinstriping on the 85-90 cars.
BUT... the only reason Im responding is because I think this is a very interesting take on the two-tone Camaro, and I was surprised at how "factory" it looked, and yet it looks nice and clean. If I ever two-toned my car I'd do it something like this:

I couldn't disagree with you more. This body style lends itself perfect for a two tone paint at the top of the fender. Most cars out there look like an egg with no defined place to do a two tone paint.

Very few 3rd gens look good with two-tone paint jobs. Although I do kind of like the rendering by Vortex. One of the first things I did on my '86 was tear off the multi-color stripes that were above the ground effects. Now my car is all blue with bright silver (repainted) ground effects.

And GMan, Im not talking about Knocker. Knocker is a B4C car and you based yours on the Cali Highway Patrol paint. Thats way cool if you ask me.

Just because it's a cool ride:

Re: Post pics of your tu-tone camaros!
I've seen the two-toned cars before & actually was currently thinking of doing that to mine (black top, colored bottom. Thanks for the pics & making up my mind for me. I'm NOT gonna do it.
Don't get me wrong, it looks nice & all just way too typical. Too "copy cat" of doing my two-tone like every other 3rd gen. So I'll go with my other Photoshopped idea, unless I come up with another one.

Hey PM, now that is nice. What are the three dots on the rear fender about 6 inches in front of the spoiler? And is that a silver colored break line between the orange and the white?
