In the state of NJ you are not require to go through the mandatory inspection station so I can have custom exhaust, blackout lights and dark tinted glass whereas normally they wouldn't pass inspection.Only drawback is you are limited on mileage (1500mi/yr). and cannot use it for your daily driver (you must have another car). All that is required is you going to the inspection facility and they verify mileage. How they do that is,
inspector records miles on the car and you drive around block and they verify that the mileage was recorded on the odometer and you don't have more then 1500 than last year/

[quote=reefland;5185865]Right now I am just using Krylon primer (rattle can) so I can protect the surface and see imperfections as I go.
What are you planning to use for paint? just asking since I think you will want to use a sealer on the car before you lay down paint. I would hate to se you end up with any shrink or sink areas due to the rattle can primmer.

I'm not really sure, my brother is the painter (amateur) in the family. What recommendations do you have for primer, sealer, paint and clear?

I am a Dupont only shop, used PPG for years but switched to Dupont about 5 years ago. I use their epoxt primmer and high build primmer, than seal and base coat clear coat the car. I like to let the sealer set in the heat for a day or two than tach it and lay down my color

Received a nice package in the mail today...the new seat upholstery from 1AAuto. They look fantastic and very well made!!! The only thing that leaves to purchase for the interior is door panels (got to have now with the new seats and carpet) and I might pick up the new seat foam for the front.
