I got the Lt1 from the friend who sold me my 9 bolt and other small things. Picked it up for $625. Well I gave him $630. Motor is perfect. Just had to swap the oil pan.
As for getting the 700r4 to hook up to it all you need is the longer detent cable which I bought the one from loka. A 93 lt1 throttle body or buy the bracket to add to your own throttle body which I am getting and the actual intake bracket which I picked up from a yard car. I am also getting the reluctor swapped in and vss to have it right. I still need the tc lockup switch.
It really is a lot to do. I would def be looking for a motor/trans combo if I did it again. This motor came with a built 4l60e but it was out of my budget.

I am getting it back to stock z03 form. Polo green with gold 25th stripes like it was before. Stock everything exterior. Wing will be the same. I had the aero and wanted to swap it in but sold it.

The black iroc that I got the blistersh from? If recall its dash was cracked.
I have gotten lucky from yards picked up all I need from em. It did take me all summer though. Thanks for the compliments guys.
As for an update. Just need to get a vss from a 4l60e and a new trans rubber mount and she will be going back in. Can't wait to get her lowered on the ground. If I get rid of my longtubes then I can probably lower her. Since even with the old l03 in there the front sat high from all the unneeded crap I removed.

Got lucky yesterday found the Vss already taken off and underneath a caprice that had its lt1 yanked out. I need to test it but hopefully it works. Other than that I went ahead and sanded down the 700r4. Gave it a coat of Vht high temp. You can see yourself smooth as glass.
I ran out of paint. Still have t do the tail housing and edges. Should look better than before and only a days work.
As for the Lt1 she's pretty much ready for a A/C delete pulley and belt. I am going through a trade with my Hedman 68460 longtubes. I traded em for basically the same model but shorties. Ground clearance is gonna be a must here for any type of Daily Driver. I also need to lower the car especially the front. I plan to lower the front around 1.5 inches to get it back to normal and give it a better stance. I also will be bolting on a pair of Bilstens.
She's almost ready I plan to take off the A/c box today and install my delete box I picked up from a local yard for free. Also give it a good cleaning of the engine bay. So far he's the to do list:
1. Clean the engine bay.

It actually started cracking again. I'm not mmad since I must of taken it off and on over 29 times. No joking. Shows it would of lasted. I usually just leave it in a bad position to stress it and see how good its gonna be.
Gonnna deff re-glass it again. Might even give it a full pass to reinforce it.
Yea the box was a surprise. Guess they didn't feel it was charge worthy.

Did you find the box on a Camaro? Just curious. and I still think thats just awesome that you fixed the chin spoiler cause there easily over 100 bucks online. I'd do that too mine even if I had to fix it every two years or so but the previous owner somehow broke both sides off it. from the corner back....

Its fixable! Just make a wood frame to hold it in place. You can reglass the holes and just reglass it. Make sure its not far off from the fit. It can flex a bit but if you didn't do it right it will crack again.
But then again I'm fine with having to fix it every few years since their gonna be prone to scrapes no matter what.
I will be doing my rockers next their also cracked and I will be shaving the emblems as well.
As for the box yes it was from a Camaro. Guy did a good A/C delete. Would of bought the pulley but no need and no profit to be made. I still need to sand it and paint it. Gonna paint match it to the car.

So I installed the trans but I found out something awesome. The 700r4 has a 2200 rp
m stall. I almost jumped in circles. Here's how I found out. I know I shouldn't take it tobe fact but the old 305 did seem to have a more kick than others that I have driven.
Says Matt Cernhard 03.00 2200 Stall Corvette.
I knew something was up when I removed the splash shield and the tc was spotless and not rusted. The body has 154k so i knew something is up.
Also got the trans installed. Was a pain but with help from my father she's in.
2200 stall should be great with the LT1.

Headers came in a few days ago looks good. They are hedman 68470 shorties. I got some **** from my father for downgrading but I need the ground clearance peace of mind and a full 3' exhaust will be enough. I plan to drive it open headers when she comes out. Then do a elec cutout and hooker aero chamber catback.
I still need to install the torque arm. I need to clean it up. The crossmember cleaned up very nice hopefully it does too.

Not much has been done. I started working a few weeks ago butmost of my earnings is tied up helping out the parents pay bills. Probably will continue like this til mid feb. After that it should come alive again. I have only done the rear brakes so far.
One of the PBR caliper was frozen and I bought a replacement and is coming in on the 25th. My next purchase is Jons (Pockets) harness work and exhaust. I plan to purchase a set of Dyno Dons 3/4 headers with y_pipe and hooker catback.
I have a lot of big plans.once she's running I plan to finish my body work and sending it off for paint. I will pull the lt1 again and do some upgrades to it while its painted.
Only time will tell what happends. I wanted to go 6.0 but might as well finish this swap and try it out.

Some so updates..
Been really busy working. I have almost clocked in 70 hours the past three weeks. Hopefully this weekend we don't have to work on Saturday to have some free time to do more here is what I have done so far with pictures.
First off got the rear end 80% done. All that is left is girdle (Cover) and axle lines. I plan to get stainless steel lines for the whole car. Here is how the rear looks with new calipers, rotors and pads. Also side note for those in need of replacement pbr calipers purchase lt1 calipers, they are more inexpensive but are smoother on the the top while originals are completely finned.
I then purchased new tires to wrap my original 16' wheels. They are riken raptors 245 50 16s. I want to see how good they are but from reviews seems like they would be a good purchase but of course the old saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind but we shall see.
As for an update on the lt1 swap she's almost ready to fire. I picked up slp 1 3/4 headers with y pipe off shiftycapone for $450 for the lt1. I also got ahold of a 1993 lt1 throttle body for the 700r4 matchup. All that is left is pretty much getting my wiring done by Jon (Pocket) and sending my pcm to get tuned for me.
Also picked up a alum driveshaft from a local 3rd gen guy who strips 3rd gens for a living. The thing didn't f eel that much lighter than the stock steel shaft but it sure did clean up well and look good.
I then scored a complete ls1 brake setup from a friend who got tired of his 90 iroc. Complete modifiled spindles, hub, drilled and slotted rotors, hawks pads and braided lines. Scored all of it for $475. Its ridiculous how bigger the calipers are to stock calipers. Rotors had small surface rust but a quick cleanup fixed it. I plan to give the calipers a cleanup and paint em black to match the rear pbrs. I would have installed em today but I wanted to install new ball joints, sway bar end links and get the wonderbar I picked up today.

That's pretty much all the big important updates. I am pretty stoked on the brakes a friend said they are unneeded but I disagree. I feel like every part of my Rs needed to be upgraded. The only thing close to original is the 700r4 which will probably get a performance rebuild if I'm happy with how it feels behind the lt1. If not then I will be looking into a t56 switchover.
As far as my next purchases is my wiring work from Jon, Spohn front end rebuild kit, lowering springs, t/a performance 9 bolt cover, tubular front control arms, torque arm (after I decide what trans to stick with), then of course back to body work and guetting it painted.
I will try to keep the thread updated I deff want to record and upload the first fire up and test drive. Ill keep you guys posted.

Good progress dude! I have the Riken Raptors on my 91 Trans Am. For the money they're not bad at all. I haven't driven the car for months now but I remember wet weather traction being pretty good as well. Although these things are sticky summer tires for sure, I noticed that driving in the fall, these things didn't have nearly as much grip compared to the hot summer months. It hasn't gotten to the point where I was getting nervous, but the difference was noticeable.

@killer- the aftermarket one? Don't buy it its a ebay brand. Had fitment issues and very flimsy. Both my front fenders need to be replaced. Gonna try and find a good pair of used ones.
@awesome- let's just say its clost to a weeks paycheck lol. Its worth it if its as good as most say it is. I love plug and play.

Just too much rust to deal with and fix. It needed both floors, both rear quarters and wells and some firewall work. Too much $ for a plain 25th Rs. The 86 was too clean to pass up for $500.

Well just the shell, everything was carried over to my 86 which has zero rust.
