I would say that you are missing the rubber seal that goes around the post. I am not sure still since i never had a areo wing on my camaro yet. But my best bet that you have but in the seal and when you tighen the hold down bolts it will slowly be covering the gap.

My pleasure lol as far as the seal goes though are they really that big?? i dont want to put them on and then torque down the wing and risk bending it too much causing it to snap lol
is it possible my deck lid is sitting too low? im not sure how to adjust height but i know i have to push it forward a bit yet

Looks like it should be farther back on the hatch.

thats exactly right except i already removed my original mini lip spoiler, it still holds up in the center, on your ends are they completely flush? mine are stepped sorta, like the part that would hit the rear quarter is raised which makes sense but the center is still bugging the crap outta me, like i said i dont wanna just torque down a 20 yr old piece of fiberglass can someone post a pic of an installed aero wing? with the spacers?
TIA

something def not right there you have to drill some holes on the very outside of your deck lid to secure the outer most part of the wing but that middle part should be alot lower then that something looks bowed if its your decklid or the spoiler itself

Re: Camaro aero wing instal....need help
well the spoiler has holes on the outside to secure it to the outermost part of the deck, and according to bruce the center will stick up a bit and you just have to torque down the center posts slowly, i just dont wanna crack it, its already got a stress crack on it, so im just gonna wing it (no pun intended) and put it on, if the crack re appears ill just put some more fiberglass bondo on it and sand it down again
and its quite possible the spoiler is bowed a bit
