HUGE updates! LS1 installed/Billet Specialties wheels/harwood cowl hood!
it's been a pretty decent amount of time since my last update in this forum so i figured since the car is pretty much complete, i'll post up some nearly finished pictures. there is still a ton of little stuff to do to finish it up (like tidy up the wiring and normal bs after doing so much work) but here ya go anyhow:
i've been driving the car daily for nearly a month now with no real hiccups, and have averaged 16mpg(city and highway driving) with a completely stock tune. it's a bit much with the manual steering and full spool to daily drive, but it's only till my truck is painted and put back together. the combo is super mild mannered but straight out scats when i give it the loud pedal. 212/219 .558/.563, 11:1 diamonds, stock 241's with some ls6 springs, VIG3600 with a built 4l60e (red alto clutches, kolene steels, modded input shaft/shell, etc) and has 4.56's in the 9" out back. hawks stainless longtubes and a 4" single with a magnaflow, all of which i fabbed. i can't wait to get the tune spot on!

I envy that sweet, sweet engine
Just out of curiosity... you have no washer fluid reservoir in there? Just what else did you remove out of it? And have you ever weighed your car?
I wish my little 2.8 would run at its full potential... something's not right there but I'll figure it out eventually

the car has a TON of weight saving mods. without me with an iron headed sbc it was right at 3050lbs. with this combo it should be in the 2950lbs range. with me in the car it should be around 32xxlbs as i'm a pretty heavy guy.

yes, the 4.56's are gonna have to go. i'm thinking of a 3.89 or a 4.11. the spool is going to have to go too...i noticed threads on the right drag radial showing today and i'm pretty sure it has to do with the spool. the tires have literally 1500 miles on them, probably less than that in reality

with the lock up converter and 28" tall tires it's really not that bad...i'd drive it there if i had time/money to, but i don't...
