Photos Of My "New" Camaro IROC
I wanted to share the news with the third generation forum. I purchased a 1988 IROC this morning.
I found the car on the Nashville, TN Craigslist late last December but did not get the car until today. I was not sure the deal was going to through until this morning.
This IROC will keep my 1980 Camaro Z28 company.
I am the third owner. The previous owner was in his 60s and he had the car over ten years. It is totally stock with no modifications and has the factory 350 V8 with four wheel disc brakes.

Re: Photos Of My "New" Camaro IROC
Guys,
Thanks for the compliments!
I do not have any additional photos of the car. I took those photos when I inspected the car back in December. I plan on making more photos later this week when I get the car back from my mechanic. It is at his shop now having brake pads and a new fuel filter installed.
I payed $3,250 for the car and it has 98,000 miles. I hope that is not too much money but for a stock car that has never been "molested" I am willing to pay a bit more.
Thanks for the compliments!

Re: Photos Of My "New" Camaro IROC
most of the irocs you could get with all disks after 86 i think, and if you don't haave them theres a thread on here about how to swap drums for sicks,
not to jack the thread thouhg
looks awesome, i'd kill to have an 88 iroc, for some reason the 88s are my favorite year

SWEEEET!
....great lookin' car. I think that was the only pinstripe combo that did NOT have a black stripe. All the other were black with red, gold, or silver. For some reason, "some" white ones got the silver and yellow. Why? Who knows? ...but I think it's cool. ...and pretty uncommon too.

Re: Photos Of My "New" Camaro IROC
WWD,
Thanks. I plan on driving the car once or twice a week to work. It will be another "toy" that I don't need but wanted.
I am going to have four new tires put on late this week or early next week. Eventually I plan on having the car repainted. The paint is weak and does not do the car justice. When I win the Lotto, I will add Vortec heads to the 350 TPI.
I have a 1978 two door Caprice. I had the car's original 350 rebuilt and we added a roller camshaft and Vortec heads. They made a hugh difference in the car's ability to accelerate!

Nice purchase & very clean car...congrats! and to answer about the 4-wheel discs, mine is an '85 Iroc and it did come with 4-wheel discs, the car was fully loaded, power everything except for the TPI which was an option back then.

With that said, when did disc brakes become standard?
I plan to go to the biggest wilwood kit from ed to fit under 18" wheels. If not wilwood, whatever is the biggest and baddest (in braking, not looks)
