The brothers - 89 IROC, 07 C6 as requested...
These were requested pics...
these are all I currently have, not the best backdrop but I will get more once the weather breaks
and the Corvette is soon to look like this. lowering the lowering bolts. You can lower a C5 and C6 about 1" just by turning a bolt in the a arms. Did it to my C5...
On the C6 I am going to mount the black chrome wheels and drop it as well. It will look exactly like this car:
What do you think?

I love it Jason! Your cars look great. The C5 looks great lowered too. Thanks for the pics. It's interesting to see the 2 side by side. Your C6 will look even more awesome lowered! Man, if I don't find a nice IROC soon I may have to get a C6. The prices on these are coming down very nicely.
Thanks again!

2004 RX~8, got one of the first ones when they came out, great car.
Traded it in 2007 for the C6. Intend on keeping the C6. The next time the C6 comes out it should be lower and have the new wheels. I intend on ordering them in February, its a 6-8 week items so they should come in early to mid april... The car comes out of storage May 9. Little late this year but oh well. I will get some really good pics in spring.
You will find an IROC, and you can get a really REALLY nice IROC for the price of even a beat down 2005 C6. Don't get a C5, not even close to the same vehicle!

I think he ^^^ needs to drive his car more!! (rusted brakes) but i love the look of black on black C6's. The third gen looks great too. one suggestion though, have you seen those wheels with a red pin stripe on them? very aggressive look that helps to break up the dark abyss in the wheel wells, and its a nice throw back to the classic red line tires. just my

No I have not seen that but where is the stripe? I am also planning on painting the calipers red like I did on the C5 when the wheels are off and I lower it. Do it all at once then put it all back together. The stripe may look pretty bad *** with the red calipers. Is it at the edge of the rim? Pic if you have it. I want a "not so run of the mill" C6 without doing any body mods. The spoilers and gfx kits look hidious. I already have an intake, exhaust, shift kit, and tinted windows so I want the exterior to stand out a little but I really like the OEM wheels and hate bling chrome. I think the black on black with the blacked out windows will look awesome. I am taking the car on the Hot Rod Power Tour this year so I want it to be somewhat unique, even if this guy does have my exact car! Hopefully he won't be there!
And thanks for the compliment on the IROC. It really is my pride and joy. Its funny how a car I paid $5000 for is more dear to me than a car I paid 10X that for but... if you read the thread about it, you would see why I guess. The IROC is in pretty good shape. She photos well when I get her good angles... There is a slight dent in the drivers door on the ding strip under the mirror if you look close and she really needs a new coat of paint. I have caps to replace the missing center cap, just hadn't put it on yet when the photo was taken. Haven't put it on yet at all for that matter. I am going to paint the car myself in a year or two. Do it right, strip off the old paint and start from scratch. The old paint is pealing and I rattle canned it... She looks good cruising down the road though.

These aren't factory wheels but will give you an idea about the red stripe. I love it!!!

This guy has the same wheels with the red pinstripe. I like it alot! It would be awesome with red calipers.

BADNBLK's pics have the stripe I was referring to. The guys over on the corvetted forum call them "time attack" strips?? F that, I still say they're pin stripes lol. And YES they would look amazing with red calipers There are pictures of a Z06 wheel and an aftermarket wheel with them here....

(Don't really care for them on the red car, but it's just for a reference.)

I am a member on the corvette forum too but a lurker. I don't think I ever post...
Thanks for the pics of the wheels but I am not a fan. Actually the pics made me realize I do not want to paint the calipers red. Thanks for the help. i am 100% sold on the wheels though. I am going for the "black" look and the red calipers stick out like a sore thumb which in this case I am not going for. I actually considered blacking out the tail lamps and side markers too but still on the fence.
Good luck on acquiring a C5 or C6. There are LOTS of deals to be had right now with the economy. I guess now is the time to buy if you have the money. I am in the process of buying a house (keeping fingers crossed that nothing falls through. Have the deal, talked to the bank, have the down payment so we should be good) and we got it for $100K less than he wanted! My suggestion is a C5Z or a C6, unless you can swing a C6Z of course! I opted for a base model C6 (no options) to keep the cost low (I paid less than 40K brand new GMS) becasue my soon-to-be wife and I want a 201- Camaro SS1LT, Cyber grey with dark grey stripes and wheels, much like the color of the wheels on the C5 I had.
Again thanks for all the suggestions, I really appriciate it. And for looking at my IROC. Its my pride! You should see it today, we got about 7" of snow and it sits out for the time being. I will post a pic shortly when I go out.
EDIT>> I went outside. This is what I woke up to:
Hopefully at the end of February we will be in our new house that has a 2 car attached garage and a 24X40 detached so all the cars can now be inside. The C6 is stored in my parents garage, the IROC obviously sits out and the 67 is in a few garages.

So... how do you like them earthquarkes?
I actually love snow. A bunch of us called in today so were going to play in the snow. We hook a water ski rope to the back of our jeep and pull people on tubes around the fields. Its pretty hillbilly but damn its fun! All set and ready to go...

Earthquakes suck!
You give a whole new meaning to 'wake boarding'! Take some pictures of that sh**! Sounds pretty damn fun to me!
You would laugh your a$$ off if you saw what happens when it snows in our local moutains. People crowd up on the hills and park on the highway, tons of people playing in the snow on the roadside... Seriously! I lived in Colorado for a couple of years, so I am truly embarressed by them.

well it didn't work out too well today. by the time we actually got around to trying about a quarter of an inch of ice had capped the snow so it sucked. Only one attempt, about 50 feet and popped the tube. After that we rode the sled down the hill a time or two but other then that, pretty uneventful. Sorry for the let-down.
