Question on the trims of the 90-92 Camaro

Hi, I'm looking for a Camaro from 90 to 92 and I'm pretty new in the muscle car world and I'm always looking for the top trim of a car, I don't know what it is, is it the Z28, the IROC-Z ?? If someone could inform me, it would be appreciated. Here are the 2 cars that I'm planning to take a serious look:

Also, from what you, do they really have the 5.7l engine, I can't recognize the 5.7l from the 5.0l.

Thanks.

Re: Question on the trims of the 90-92 Camaro

In 1990, the IROC-Z was the top level. In 1991-1992 there was no IROC-Z, so the Z28 was the top level.

There is no way to tell by looking at the engine whether it is a 305 or 350. Check the 8th digit of the VIN for an F for a 305 TPI, and an 8 for a 350 TPI. Another way to check is to look at the exhuast under the car. If it has two catalytic converters and an automatic transmission, its a 350. If it has a single catalytic converter, its a 305. You could also get dual cats with the 5-speed transmission, but those are only 305's.

Re: Question on the trims of the 90-92 Camaro

That '91 has a 305. you could not get 91/92 Z28's with T-tops and a 350.
