New member here. Here's my 83 z. Re painted iroc yellow. Silver was the original color. This pic was from the seller. Since then I've done new front leather seats, 18" ridler rims, new window sweeps, new window switches, and a whole stereo with custom box for 1 10". Window tints next then a drop in 350.
Here's my 84 H.O from when I pulled it out of the garage a day or two ago. I need to buy new side gfx since the ones that were on it when I bought the car were cracked down the middle. I also need to weld in new floorpans, a roll cage, and put in some better seats. Paint is pretty crappy and hasn't been washed ever since I bought it.
I forgot about this thread as I meant to add pictures of my '83 CFI Z28. She's 95% stock with the only exterior change ae the 16" single stripe gold wheels (I have the 15" set stored).
I just bought an '83 Z28. Same colors, 69,000 original miles. It's going to be my tinkering project. I like this color combo because it's the oddball. Yours looks good!

My bone stock '84 Z28 in her prime. I call her 'Baby Blue.' She doesn't look quite like this anymore, and doesn't run currently... due to neglect and driving the crap out of it as a teenager. I've kept her all these years though and I'm gunna start the restoration next week!
Here's my '83. Be getting original rims for it. As far as I know, the only things done to it is, it has Hedman Headers, Flowmaster Exhaust and was told by another group that the door panels are custom. Haven't had her long but, I already have plans for her.
I'm putting in a posi rear end, bought a 350 bored .60 over for the 383 stroker kit, going to try and find the parts to rebuild the Crossfire, upgrading the Crossfire, doing a few things to the transmission, new carpet for the inside since the last owner let it get filthy, and getting her repainted. I'm keeping the original black and gold but, I'm doing it all paint instead of the stripes of gold on the bottom so, that they can't chip and look like crap. I may be placing the 305 but, I'm keeping that as well and going to rebuild that. I'm hoping to get new rims as well. I've seen a lot of the black and gold Camaro's have rims that has gold on them like the white Camaro on this post but, not sure if they came stock like that or not.

Nothing beats the early thirdgens! Nothing is worse then seeing a 82-84 for sale only to go see it and it's been swapped to newer bumpers and ground fx.
Like guys hacking up black and gold 82 Trans ams and converting them to "GTA".
I'm just going with paint. Haven't read up much on vinyl wrap's or whatever they are but, I still have a ways to go before painting it. I'm focused on getting the rear end put in and then saving up to swap the motors. I love the look of Third Gen's. I eyeballed my Camaro for MONTHS then, my lady surprised me with it for Valentines Day. Now, we drive it everywhere lol
Been using the '82 a little more than normal this summer, had it to 4 or 5 AutoX's and got the car balanced pretty good again by going down from a 24 rear bar to a 21 (front 850 springs w/ 36mm bar, rear 225 springs now w/ 21 mm bar)
then the car started running badly, ended up finding a broken valve spring and bent push rod, LUCKILY no other damage was done so for now I've just replaced the one broken spring and pushrod til winter. As part of the "repair" it also got new plugs / cap / rotor / and coil (wires to the coil looked burned / shitty)
Hello Guys, my name is Cesar , my fathers first car was exactly like this model , same color combo only that it was a 1982. It was sold later in life to a brother of his who never paid him for the car which caused some family drama , he later gave it to his soon who crashed it . Since then I've been searching everywhere for this exact color combo Camaro for my dad . If you ever want to sell it or know of another like please let me know ! Cesarg@urbanlinkre.com . No number is to crazy out there for this car
Would love to see more Early Z28 pics, even if you've already posted. Keep it going. Include those great early Trans Ams. The non-ground effects TAs are the most pure Thirdgen style. The contrast between the 82 and 81 styling was monumental in the day.
gt4373, are those charcoal vinyl seats in your car? As hard as it may be to think, well preserved base vinyl seats are rare. I suspect you are already aware. Probably more rare than any seat offered in thirdgens. I love the look of the all vinyl base. Some of the last days of all-vinyl interiors.

Sax Yes Charcoal Vinyl,They Have Held Up Extremely Well After 34 Years.
@Saxondale: enjoyed that Z28 engineering video with Don Runkle. Thanks for posting that link. Funny he talks about the awesome performance of the Crossfire engine and then they show the pace car (with the carb'd aluminum 350) screaming down the track at Indy. Different times but cool to see everything when it was new. The third gen really was an amazing car for its time.
No trip odometer? Or too much reflection in photo? Norwood build.
BTW I'm posting these in members camaro section. Not my car. Therefore if moderators need this type of post to be somewhere else, feel free to let me know.
Cool. Have seen the '83, because they made the 140 mph Z28 speedo like the '83. But never seen a non trip before. '84 only? Norwood only? Some Norwood only?
