i just got a 92 rs 25th anniversary with a 305. cosmetically im thinking of painting it a darker shade of blue and putting the daytona hood on it and whatever wheels look good on it. performance wise im going to keep it simple and just get a new exhaust, air cleaner, and a b&m console megashifter. im considering doing the 89 celebrity headlight conversion, but im not sure if i should do it or not. any suggestions will help

Looks like a nice car man, where ya from in NJ? Don't put a daytona hood on it those are by far the ugliest things known to man, but thats just my opinion. Personally I think it would look good with the 91-92 blister hood. The exhaust will defently help, headers back. The shifter is more of an appearance thing than a performance thing.. the headlight swap is a matter of opinion, personally I like the way they look factory. Nice first car!

skip the daytona hood, they're hideous.

for exhaust i'd suggest some hooker 2055's and your choice of 3" catback.

jimmy jams makes some snazzy custom megashifter panels to go along with your B&M.

thanks for all the replies so far guys...up close, the car looks like it could use some paint. personally, i love the daytona hood i like how it combines the looks of a cowl and the iroc. im still not sure if i should put hella 90mm projectors or the single chevy celebrity ones. i saw a picture of one that had what appeared to be the celebrity headlights WITH projectors, but i cant find them.

I have a 92 with the blisters and I have a 86 with a Daytona and I would never put the Daytona on the 92. Something about the ground effects and the hood that don't go together. My 86 has no GFX so it works better on that car.

And don't changethe headlights please. If you want a Celebrity - buy one. Our cars look great without a lot of conversions to other cars. But it is your car so do as you want but just remember change is not always a good thing.

Nice car i have the same one as my first but with the v6 . I wouldnt change the paint b/c you hardly see any cars this color. You might just wanaa do what im doin and put some silver racing stripes all the down front and back , just a suggestion

if i find out that the celebrity headlights need any risky custom work at all, im just going to keep it simple and buy some nice looking diamond clears. i was thinking about putting some white or silver heritage stripes on it but im not sure how that would look with the daytona hood. my choices are either to get the daytona, or get a different hood that would work with the stripes (im not sure which i should do)

i think im going to take all u guys' advice and get a regular iroc blister hood. the daytona is way too expensive and might look weird on my rs. im still not sure if i should do silver or white stripes though. and since nobody seems to like the headlight conversion (and its expensive) i think ill stick with some nice aftermarket stock ones. im also planning on getting the iroc grille that says "camaro" on it. FEEL FREE TO POST ANY PICTURES OR SUGGESTIONS i could use the advice. im a third gen noob lol

the bowtie grill is pretty nice but your in nj, so ur plate'll cover it.. HID conversions look great if done right..

im REALLY liking what niterider did with his hood on the rs. i think im going to get similar blisters and put silver heritage stripes on there with them. tell me what you guys think

first off i like the color the way it is but u could go darker it would look good but please dont do the daytona hood it looks horible and the head light conversion i wouldnt do i camaros look great the way they are.and as far as rims i would go with the chrome iroc replicas they look realy good and dont cost that much

yea im definitley going to go with the chrome irocs they look awesome! and no, im not going to do the daytona hood. after staring at it for a while it does make the car look really weird (and its expensive as hell). im also starting to change my mind about the headlight conversion mainly because its gonna be a hassle and i like the look of having four separate hid headlights
