LT1 and T56 swap
hey guys!
So I have a 1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary, 3.1L and BW t5, stock everything, drums no posi. SO the bad....my engine finally gave up, I got a hold of a 94 z28 LT1 and the T56 out of it I replaced the differential with one I got outta 96 firebird, disc brakes and 3.73 gears, after a couple of weeks I managed to put everything in, I had to buy a cross member from Spohn Performance but other than that everything was a breeze to install but I did run into a couple of issues and I'm hoping you guys can help me.
Ok so here is my list. (so far)
-Headers!
-I heard that you can use the headers out of a gen 1 small block, difference I guess is that LT1s are d ports? anyways I wonder if I can use full length with the T56? or am I better of with shorties?
-Fuel lines!
- I wounder if I can buy them pre made, I made some but I much rather have something done right you know.
-Radiator!
-well I have the stock radiator and I have a 4 core rad that was for my dads Chevelle, can I use either one? and what about the rad hoses? I also notice that the water pump has a bunch of other hard lines where do those go hahahahaha
-Wiring harness!!
-The biggest pain of all! hahahaha I have both harnesses and ecu's is there a way I can combine them?
I went though one of the threads for this but I'm confused, I attempted to combine the C100 with the LT1 harness but now idk what to do with fuel pump relay or if i even did it right ...oh since I mention fuel pump. do I have to do anything to it?
I'll be posting pictures tomorrow, any input is greatly appreciated, if I come across another issue ill be posting it,
I know its a long post and I appreciate you guys for taking your time to read it and hopefully help me
