Re: lsx supercharger setup?
Uncle owns a diesel repair shop.
Has tube bender and bead roller. Tig. Mig. Lifts.
I used to work for him as a tech. I do get the parts at lower prices. But i just use the turbo and wastegates. I still use ebay fmic and ive found that the hks ssq bov is great for the $. The tnetics duo35 sound pimp but are way more than the hks bov.
Also a place i get injectors from has excellent prices.
Today i ordered a set of 8 72lb. Hi imp injectors for 200$ shipped.
I always keep at least.one tc78 in stock and a wg.
Injector place sells on ebay also.

Re: lsx supercharger setup?
Call me stupid but I want to turbo my car eventually and want to learn about it and so on. Is there anywhere to read about the basics and the way it works and so on?

Re: lsx supercharger setup?
i just use the blockoff piece from gm. I drill and tap it. Above oil filter. This is the feed/pressure
Tap timing cover. I dont go into the pan. The timing cover has flat spotd to use a -8 fitting.
plenty of access if using a truck offset. This would b the return
I highly reccomend this book for basic applied info on turbo charger info.
Maximum Boost
Author Corky Bell
Best $ spent before deciding on turbo build, if not familiar with the basics

Here's for inspiration to keep this tread back on the supercharger path. Traded the polished Maggie for this ugly thing.

Re: lsx supercharger setup?
I guess you have to find the right deals. Or those deals tend to come looking for me. For example that polished Maggie I did a straight trade for the 2.9 whipple. The whipple had some upgrades and also ID850 injectors.
The ZL1 blower I purchased for like 1200-1400(don't recall). It had under 4k miles on blower and hat and rails are brand new zero miles.

Re: lsx supercharger setup?
It would be great but money wise it wouldn't be worth it. I have too much money invested in my current combo. Then have to deal with smog. I might buy another third gen and try it out. Or a Pre smog test vehicle. Maybe a second gen or a C10 truck.
