alt to motor mount issue

I drilled and tapped the hole for the alt mounting bracket and whe I went to mount the alt the plastic shield on the back of it is hitting the driverside clamshell. I'm going to swap it out tonight with another clamshell that I have that looks lell "bent" I guess you could say and see if it helps. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue. I'm using the 1in setback plates.

Re: alt to motor mount issue

fbody. i think the clamshell i used on that side is a little mushroomed out like when it was made its phyisicly wider than the one i used on the pass side. i went out to work on it some tonight but the wife pilled of more stuff in the garage so i spent more time moving things than working. ill swap it out in the next day or so and see what happens. ill try to get some pictures of it.
