LS1 throttle cable vs. LT1 throttle cable
What's the difference between the two throttle cables?
I'm trying to get my LS1 Throttle Body attached to my 383. The nearest scrapyard to me has an abundance of LT1 cars, and the throttle cables look like they *might* work.
Does anyone have a length measurement from the mount bracket to the ball on the end of the cable when its pulled out as far as possible?
Also, what's the easiest way to attach my 700r4 TV cable to the LS1 throttle body linkage?
I found this pic for the geometry:

Re: LS1 throttle cable vs. LT1 throttle cable
Bumping this thread for bad information.... The first pic I found showed the line drawn through the centerlines of the TV bracket and the throttle shaft perpendicular to the TV cable at about half throttle. Apparently that's not how its supposed to be! It may be the cause of my burnt up transmission.
Here is a better article about the TV cable bracketry: http://www.cpttransmission.com/tech_tvcable.htm
