v6-lt1 swap

I just bought a 92 camaro with a v6 in it and i am planning on swapping it to an lt1. i have restored cars and built engines before, but have never done a swap like this. i need advice on the right way to go about doing this. im going to buy a block first and completely machine and rebuild it myself, but what are some major thing i have to do before swapping the engine? I know suspension and rear end is a major, but any other pointers would be greatly appreciated

I moved this to the LTx and LSx Engine Swap sub-forum. Look through the LT1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum.

Re: v6-lt1 swap

I'd recommend finding an lt1 with a bad headgasket or rod bearing and pick it up cheap to save you on peicing one together. And sticky threads are a MUST
