Lt1 swap with 700r4. Need to get it running.
So I have had no luck finding a 1993 throttle body. The closest thing is a 200 52mm ported one from ebay. I did a quick search on the seller and found nothing bad but basically a no name. I can find tpi throttle bodys very easily if I look around hard enough. Would it be compatible? A quick search did not bring up a 100% answer. I have ordered the lokar cable and have the 93 bracket. So making it connect to the tb is all that's left.
Also of course the throttle cable is not the same. Does lokar offer one as well or does a tpi one also fit the bill?
My other question is vats related. How does the pcm get the signal from vats? Since my lt1 wiring basically split in two and was wondering if I should just bypass by giving it the signal it needs but then again 80 is not that bad to get it disabled along with other emissions things.
Also my lt1 had no maf included. Would acquiring be worth it? I autozoned it and nothing came up as available for it.
That's pretty much all that is keeping me from firing her up. Just vats.

TPI TB is cast from the same mold as the LT1s. You can bolt it on, but the cable cam is different for the different bracket location between the intakes. This makes operations a bit funny
Look over this for a TV cable swap

Using one of my buddy's 79 LT1/TH350 swap and it seems to be working ok
Throttle cable is 85-92 TPI, bracket 92-93 LT1 with a small tab filed off for the TPI cable to fit. You can get the bracket new from GM pretty cheap still. You can instead buy a lokar piece
Tune VATS out of the PCM. Retaining LT1 VATS is a huge undertaking using several additional modules
Find another MAF in a JY. Its common on most 90's cars and trucks, even FWD V6's. Use this site for specific PN and interchanges
