like i said im sure its been asked a million times but i cant seem to find it, so will 4th gen lts fit a 3rd gen? im sure we have the normal concerns but where are the contact points? are they cross member issues? steering shaft issues? firewall issues? any thing like that
only reason i ask is becasue i have a tublar kmember about to go in the car as the ls swap starts, i was gonna use stock manifolds but my buddy is giving me a set of lts off his old 01 ss, of course i would rather use the lts
any help would be great, thanks fellas

IIRC the 4th gen LTs won't fit, I think because of the tubes hitting the firewall, but somebody with more knowledge should jump in. Hawks makes LTs for LS1 swapped thirdgens, but they'll cost you a pretty penny.

Ah...LongTubes. I was sitting here trying to think what motor an lts was haha. LTs from a 4th gen will not work at all.
On a 4th gen, they flare out to the sides, and would run right into the front subframes. Its not even close really. You'd have to hack them apart and rebuild them, and its just not worth it. At point you'd be way ahead just buying a header kit and going at it.
Go with Hawks or stock manifolds if you just want to buy, install, and enjoy.

people have modified 3rd gen sbc long tubes to work on the lsx motors, but the 4th gen stuff's a no go (other than shorties)
