LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
I ordered a replacement FPR for my LT1, because the one I had got damaged. The one that I got in the mail today has the bracket on the opposite side than the one that came on the motor. Will this regulator still work with my LT1? I can probably make a bracket to hold it on the fuel rail, but I need to know if it will work.
Here is a pic of them both next to each other:
The one that is damaged that came with my motor is on the right.

Corvettes and Fbody/Bbodys are on opposite sides. Im guessing you got a C4 unit
Go to a JY and pull one off a Bbody LT1/L99

Not that I know of
Use a clamp and install the new one on your rails sans bolt to confirm the regulator is your problem

Re: LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
The regulator that I had originally is broken and un-usable. All I am asking is, will the c4 unit regulate the pressure the same way that the original one will? If so, I am sure I can make a bracket or something to bolt it down.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
Okay, heres what I came up with, just to show what I did to remedy this:
I used some aluminum I got from home depot a while back, after making a cardboard template, and bent it into an L shape, then drilled a hole where the closest fuel rail bolt was. I also cut the bracket that held on the old regulator and used the part that holds the fuel lines apart to keep them steady, like the old bracket did. I don't see why this wont hold up just fine, theres no way the regulator can back off from the rail.

In case it ends up not working out or being a problem in the future - oreillys, advance auto, or Autozone usually have.lt1 f-body regulators in stock for about 30 bucks

Re: LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
this is from speeddensity.org
"The 93 fuel pressure regulator was located on the bottom rear of the passenger side rail. For the 94+ cars this was moved to the rear of the driver side rail."
hope that helps.

Those are the first places I checked, and they cost $70. A bit overpriced for such a little part. Maybe its different where you are?

Re: LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
I know this sounds odd, but the FPR on 03-05 J-Bodies is the same as the F-Body part. I know this because I bolted an Aeromotive F-Body AFPR directly onto my 03 Cavalier fuel rail.

Re: LT1 Fuel pressure regulator differences
In my hand is the stock FPR; on the rail is P#13107. Listed for 94-97 F-Bodies and 94-96 B-Bodies.
