00 ls1 swap

Hi,
I am new to this forum, I have read some threads and found very usefull info.
I am installing a 00 6.0 into a prototype, I am using an Audi tranny. I will be using a aftermarket fuel management system. I have wired the OEM PCM (Blue and Red connectors) just for sparks. I have wired the positives and grounds. All coils are receiving power and crank and cam sensors are wired, but still no spark.
My question is, is there any safety device that should be wired to allow sparks?

regards,

Marcelo

welcome! you'll have better luck in the LSx subforum, but I'm sure this'll get moved anyway.

if the pcm has not be reprogrammed, then you're not gonna get it to spark. there is a security feature (VATS) that need to be programmed out.

Re: 00 ls1 swap

VATS cuts fuel, he should still get fire. If the harness is correct and you've got crank signal, you should be getting fire. Pull a plug and confirm

Audi trans... sounds like a mid engine transaxle swap. Factory 5 possibly? Anyways, those audi trans are rated pretty low, like 350ish tq which is less than the 6.0 puts out stock. Sucks, but the best trans is actually the $5k porsche transaxle

Re: 00 ls1 swap

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I actually build lambo replicas. If you go to youtube and type MMBRAZIL you can see some vids.
Since the car will be street, I think Audi should do it, hope. The G50 is too expensive and dificult to find here in Brazil.
How can one check if the crank and or cam sensors are in good shape?

Thank you!

Marcelo

Re: 00 ls1 swap

Hi,
I tested the crank sensor and its ok. Average signal of 4 Volts. The PCM is sending signal to coils, but still no spark.
