You should start producing those CAI's for lsx swaps.

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
Hey guys, we appreciate the comments. To answer some questions; the car has a T-56 6 Speed built by us, our new 2" stainless header/y-pipe/exhaust combo, Moser 12 bolt, and a full BMR suspension to tie it all together. Dyno number are soon to come...
If we get enough instrest in the hoods we will start making them
Also here are some more pics for you guys... SEE BELOW

That car is amazing....
Love the hood. What is the clear part made of?
Also, the rims are perfect. They look close to the crosslace rims, the deep dish is incredible, and just fit the car so well.
Are they custom made with the correct offset?

That's a very impressive car, Bruce. What impresses me the most is the simple fact that there's somebody out there "specializing" in thirdgens, and actually doing them well enough to get positive magazine press. There's really nothing better for the whole thirdgen community then getting that kind of positive exposure and building more interest in the cars.

Awesome car!!! I'd definitely get in line for that hood without the window.

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
It is the same one off the new ZR1 Corvette (believe it's a lexan material), called our dealer up and ordered one. Pretty expensive just for that piece too.

Sweet looking build. If I had the money I would have sent you my car to do my swap, I'm sure it would have turned out a little cleaner than I did it, but I didn't have the extra money to pay someone else to do it for me.

I agree 100% that is why we try to continue to push the envelope slightly with the third gen car is to get them exposure so the popularity of these cars increases which will help our car more than anything and help the market we love and the market that we continue to stay loyal to

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
Hi,
Preliminary #s are in 645RWHP and 675 RWftlbs with the pulls going to 5K as we are out of injectors and that is with only 15-17 degrees of timing so I think we will get close to the 700RWHP mark with more injector and a full pull with a little more timing not bad for a third gen . Oh I did I mention this car is going to be for sale the car makes over 640ftlbs across the pull WOW!!
Hi,
And to let you guys know the hood insert is actually I HIGH QUALITY polycarbonite that will withstand the heat of the engine bay and the elimants as well.

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
is the pc piece oem gm? That stuff can easily be vacuum formed in an oven so if you pull a mold replicating it would be easy and much cheaper than 550 sicne the sheets are pretty inexpensive. The sheets are available in a lot of nice translucent colors so they could be color matched to the rest of the car too. Just a thought

Will this stand the heat of the engine bay as well as the weather over time???

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
Depends, there is a scratch resistant coating available. Check with Percys, they do windshields and have a lot of experience. I've had an old car that had plexi headlight covers and the anti scratch coating yellowed a bit over time but I'm talking about 15 years or so. It does stand up to the heat, it will never get near hot enough there to warp the plexi.

Hi,
I would rather stick with the highest quality material on something as of this to make sure the customer gets the best end product possible but thanks for all the help.
Thanks,Bruce

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
Polycarbonate is the same thing as lexan. (not the same as plexiglass/perspex/lucite/plexolite/polymethylmethacryklate) A sheet of lexan is a sheet of lexan, the 550$ sounds like it's the ZR1 sticker thing at work there. Ridiculous price. I saw knock offs available not long ago, can't remember who it was.

Re: HAWKS NEW BUILD " STORM TROOPER "
If they can afford to build that, then they must be charging you guys way too much $ for their used parts. There are better-priced salvage yards out there, the savings makes the search worthwhile.
