i love my truck.. i plan on doing a ls6 cam, ls6 intake, full exhaust and a 3kish converter and rock out... im aiming for it to look completely like it belongs in the engine bay, even down to the belt routing sticker.

well for now it only spins one tire so imagine this---> but with just one REALLY long one
no idea man, even if it is a 7.5 it will be a year or two before i start the swap into my truck... gotta get through with college.

Re: 5.3 to ls2 86 camaro
Yeah.. Was alittle disappointed but the car made 468/440.. With HEAVY tires on it, tuner said with my 15inch hoosiers it would have made 15-20 hp more because of rotating mass AND my camshaft is alittle too small, cam quits pulling about 6100 so ill be swapping cams in a few months. Car feels like a different animal because it picked up 15-30 ft lbs of torque through the whole rpm range and 10-20 hp through the whole rpm range. Overall im happy because Im now getting to drive it AND im having fun destroying my new toyo proxes

Re: 5.3 to ls2 86 camaro
did you dyno it with the ac belt on? if i remember correctly, the last big numbers were without that belt draggin' ya down! good numbers anyway you slice it....
either way, more torque through the rev range is always good!
pull the belt, throw on your lighter shoes and put down another 35-40hp~

Re: 5.3 to ls2 86 camaro
well as most of you know no. 7 piston met its end due to stupidity on my part... this is the caos
all is well though ive decided to rebuild the ls2 using forged pistons and scat 6.125 rods and install a bigger camshaft
head is back from t.e.a. and repaired
and lastly ill be going back 4l60e... ive already purchased another circle d 5c(4000-4200) converter, built transmission and some misc. transmission stuff...

Re: 5.3 to ls2 86 camaro
Ordered my wiseco pistons today... Got a pretty good deal on the -3.2 cc ones so that should put my compression right around 11.3:1... Should make good power and run some fast times... Hoping for 6.99 on motor

Re: 5.3 to ls2 86 camaro
Im a night manager at a grocery store... basically wake up, work, home, gym, home everyday... And im going to college and still live with mom and pops... I buy all my parts from doing side jobs and my actual job... Takes alot of time to save for some of the, stuff I have but I mostly sell old to get new. As for the new and improved ls2 im hoping it exceeds my expectations.
