Speedo Wiring 305 too LT1
So the car was a 305 TBI, Im trying to get the VSS to work. Im pretty confused. What do I have to wire up to get this thing too work? I have the VSS signal coming from the the ECU but I dont know where to go from there. Do I hook that up too the yellow wire at the c100? Do 90-92 cars have a VSS buffer box?

90-92 TBI cars need to bypass the buffer box. Find the box near the old ECM, its either white or yellow and has a "4 out-buffer" sticker on it. Join pins F and C
Now connect the speedo signal from the new PCM to pin K at the C207 (clear connector)
Do a continuity test and you should have a connection between the PCM speedo pin and the buffer box splice
Be sure your tuner has the PCM set for your VSS. T56 used a 11 or 17 tooth ring while 4L60Es used a 40 tooth ring. It makes a difference and is easy to get switched

Re: Speedo Wiring 305 too LT1
How it works with 90-92 fuel injected? I've got 91 firebird. I had 3.1 v6 - now there is 95 LT1 with 4l60e. I do remember my speedo used to work with v6 and later on with my previous engine (stock LT1 with th700 from 88 3rd gen). I also do remember it stopped working one day. Now Everything is wired up. I have custom harness from TECHRODS (95 LT1 with 4L60E) and there is a VSS green/white cable. I can also see the same cable going from the dashboard. After connecting them there is still nothing on dashboard. I'm not sure what is wrong. Before dismounting the whole dashboard to get the speedo right how can I check VSS cable going from PCM? Is there any voltage or sth on it? I'm not electrician at all
What else should I check?
