LTX and LSX Putting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.

An introduction (of sorts)

Hello,
I have been lurking around this site for quite some time as a guest. This site is a great resource, I have used it to quickly diagnose problems on my 91 firebird, thank you to all on this forum. I have questions that are not 3rd gen but I know several of you are also 4th gen owners, so maybe you can point me in the right direction.

I have a 91 that was destroyed the other day (not my fault). As a replacement I am looking at a 93 TA (5.7 auto), can anyone tell me if the 93 is an OBD1, OBD1.5 or OBD2 computer? Also, can you suggest a good forum for 4th gen questions.

Thanks again to everyone on the fourm, I will continue to visit here. The 91 will live again....

Paul

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

To keep this "legal", I'm moving it to the LTX and LSX Engine Swap subforum. The specific question you asked is okay since it can be called "3rd gen related", to those who might swap in a '93 LT1 into their 3rd gen.

'93 is OBD I.

For 4th gen platform questions, take a look at ls1lt1.com.
