some issues with truck parts (TB and coils), if you're using them come on in...
I forgot that I had the truck coils and that I would run into problems mounting them with Fbody fuel rails, so I'm going to have to figure something out. I know I heard that you can bend the fuel rails a little to make the truck coils fit, but that can't be a very good solution, can it? And I'm not even sure that it would work with my setup anyways because I'm using some Russell compression fittings on the fuel rail, so they stick out a little further than stock fuel lines anyways. Am I going to have to get Fbody coils? And another question, will Fbody coils fit on the truck coil brackets, or do I need to get the Fbody brackets AND coils?
You can see the bolt holes are a little more than 1" off from where they should be to mount the coil bracket. I'm guessing I'm going to HAVE to get car coils?
And this question I have regards anyone using a truck throttle body. Isn't this outlet on the TB supposed to be for the PCV system or something like that? If so, there's no way I can get the rubber hose on the nipple because the front bolt for the throttle cable bracket is in the way. Did anyone else experience this issue? What did you do about it?

You need the other style truck coils. They work great. They have heat sinks on them and are more cylindrical You need the brackets for them too. The only one I had problems with was the #5 cylinder due to hitting the quick disconnect so I undid one bolt and spun it out of the way a little. Only downside is FRC's will not fit over that type coil. As far as the throttle body I used f-body so didnt run into that problem.

Do the other coil brackets have a different bolt pattern? If so, I don't want to do that because I would have to get a different set of valve covers and I paid to have these ones powder coated. I'm gonna try to bend the fuel rail a bit and see where that takes me, then I might try cutting off the end of the PCV nipple and sliding the hose over it.

I bent the fuel rail, not sure if it's going to work or not, I hope it doesn't leak.

Nick, for your TB, grab a pair of vice grips or channel locks onto the end of that pcv nipple and rotate it upwards. Thats what i did for mine, worked like a charm. Might be tough to move, but it will move
