Heads from a 96 B-body or a 95 F-body??

Is one head better than the other, as far as performance? LT1 B-body heads are cast iron and the F-body's are aluminum. Basically I'm just curious if there is any benefit to the Aluminum heads other than weight savings.

Thanks,
ST

On a stock LT1, they almost balance out... the iron heads flow about 15-20cfm better, but the aluminum heads have smaller chambers with a bit better chamber design. The iron heads will get more air into the engine, but the aluminum heads will burn it better with a slightly better design and more compression.

Its almost a wash if its an otherwise stock LT1, but I'd go for the aluminum heads if you have to choose. LT1 engine LOVE lots of compression!
