Tubular K-member, are they strong enough?

This looks like a good idea to free some weight and make the swap go easier in order to clear the A/C compressor but are they strong enough to support the car in daily driving or road racing applications? Looks like that one little tube going across wouldn't be enought to support the frame of the car. Does anyone on here have one? If so what is your opinion on it? This is for the LS1 conversion.

They are definately plenty strong for street driving (Im refering to the spohn one right now) as long as you have the front triangle supports.

I've got mild steel. Bin driving the car for a month now. Been beating it pretty good (hard turns 35 mph+ fast runs 110mph+) no proplems yet. Infact the alignment is pretty close too. They must have a good jig. Also you save sooo much room. Do it!
