Re: My 1991 RS Vert LS1 Swap With lots of pics!!
Hey Jonnybravo55,
Ur swap looks killer exsp since it in a vert......
I might do the engine bay look you did except with maybe rattle can paint.
U said u put 4th gen 10-bolt in the car right ?
What are the size of the tires u got in this picture ? how wide ?
Also is there a way u can snap some pictures from the back of the car and maybe the inner wheel wells ....
Just want to see how much of a gap there will be ? Also any issues with the tire being close to the outer fender lip ?
Thanks

Yeah I think my next gun might be a 45, or maybe a 50.
I wouldn't mind having a desert eagle 50 cal... but I think the next gun I get will be an AR-15. I test fired a glock 45 at the range, I liked it, had less kick than my gun, but I was more accurate with mine, probably because I was used to it, my buddy was better with the 45.

Ok, Headers are installed, master cylinder is in... brake lines are started. Fuel Lines are pretty much ran, just have to tweak em a little. Gonna try and cut the hole for the wiring tomorrow and wrap up the brake/fuel lines. I also got the top hose for the 3rd gen radiator to LS1 engine, gonna get the bottom tomorrow. picked up some spark plugs. maybe install the coil packs/starter/spark plugs.
Here are some recent pix.

Hmmm...I see you have the EVAP line installed... Are you planning to use the 4th gen dash in your car??? I dont remember reading that you were, atleast in this thread.
If your not using the 4th gen dash...whats your plan for making the EVAP work and having a fuel gauge? Just curious if you have a game plan there...

I do not have a game plan, haha. I might in the future swap the dash and maybe in the very far away future make it smog legal, I doubt it, but maybe...
I really just put it there because I had it. Will it hurt anything to have it there?
We actually routed it a little different after taking these pics...
Hey on a different note, what radiator hose did you use for the lower part of the radiator? or did you end up using the 4th gen radiator? I forgot....

I've heard in a few places that Gates parts number 21505 works. Comes up as a 83-90 Ford F-series V8 hose. Looks like this...

I saw that was posted and I brought in my 3rd gen radiator and put that hose on it and it was really loose, and seemed too long also... maybe I will try asking for the 83-90 Ford truck hose... ie; not the gates one, maybe it will be snugger.

Having the EVAP system hooked up but not functioning wont hurt anything. Thats how I ran my 87 for a couple years. It will just sort of vent up towards the engine bay and you'll never no the difference.
Just dont expect the system or the solenoid to actually do anything. Also, you will throw a couple codes for the EVAP system in the PCM. One will be something about fuel level since the PCM wont have that info. But you'll be ok.
For hoses, I never really looked around or tried anything else. The stock 4th gen hoses worked perfect for me. Cleared everything with easy. Im also running the 4th gen radiator...not sure if you are or not... I wouldnt mind a slightly better fitting bottom hose, but mine fits just fine the way it is. I have to change my radiator this spring...so I might try one of the other hoses mentioned in other threads just for fun.

I'm using the 3rd gen radiator, but I am tempted to buy the stock 4th fen bottom hose to see if it would fit. How did you do your fuel lines? did you use the 4th gen and cut them, or did you use 3rd gen lines?

I used a '00 t/a upper rad hose and a prestone universal lower rad hose.
Was a bit of a loose fit, but clamped down okay and never leaked on me..
