Re: ls1 806 heads
They're from a '97-98 vette or '98 TA or Camaro, perimeter bolt valve cover, someone on LS1tech just had a set up with 50k miles for 80 bucks plus shipping.

Re: ls1 806 heads
Actually, there are no difference between the 806 and 241 heads on the LS1s. Both flow the same, you just can't get the bling for the perimeter bolt heads.

Re: ls1 806 heads
no stock ls1 heads are worth more then $100 perimeter or center bolt.
Feels weird to say that an aluminum head that flows 240+cfm isn't worth anything but that's just the case.
Check ebay, all of them are cheap.

Re: ls1 806 heads
I would like to make a correction and im probably going to get bashed for this but..
97-98 806: worst flowing LS1 heads
99-00 853: a little bit better flowing than the 806 heads
01-02 241: best flowing LS1 heads
Z06 243: best flow and compression rate out of all of the LS series heads of the 97-02 years.

Re: ls1 806 heads
no you're right and i was thinking the same thing but didn't bother saying.
Overall though the difference between the 'bad' ls1 heads and good one's is so minimal in stock form it's not worth swapping them.

Re: ls1 806 heads
Again, no difference between the flow of the 806 vs the 241 heads. Only thing they changed in the casting was perimeter bolt vs centerbolt.

Re: ls1 806 heads
thanks 4 the replies, i got these so long ago i didnt remember what they came off nor do i know enough about ls1 motors to know a price for them. i figure i need to get rid of them, and was just curious as to what to expect, they've sat in the back of my cars trunk the last few years, so i guess whatever i get will towards my current project, thanks though oh and ebay only had one set of these casting #'s so it was hard to judge thanks though

Re: ls1 806 heads
seems i read a thread about a flow debate, and the 806 was only down a few #'s until you took out the bump in the exhaust port, then it actually make better #'s than the 241.
but nobody wants those ugly covers and coils.
