LT1 Turbo Kit

LT1 Turbo Kit
After posting this thread, I've decided to proceed with the turbo LT1. I'm thinking of flipping the stock LT1 manifolds, rather than purchasing/fabricating manifolds. Here's an example of what I'm speaking of:
The setup will be a 383" @ 8.5-9.0 CR (all forged internals), splayed 4 bolt mains, ported stock heads & intake, cam (undecided)... this will run through a new WC T-5 and a rebuilt BW 9 Bolt. I'd like to see 500 rwhp on between 7-10 lbs of boost. Yes, I realize that the weakpoint is the trans, but it's free. I want the turbo to start spooling (making power) around 2250-2500 RPM... So, I was tossing around a 68-72mm turbo (probably a precision). I don't care so much about "big numbers" or top-end horsepower, but overall fun/driveability.
So what are your thoughts on the cast iron manfolds... and what's the consensus on the turbo size..
thanks in advance!

Its really not going to be much fun with gearbox and rearend full of metal soup.
Especially saying you want to aim for a bottom end power setup, when thats going to be the biggest thing melting the drivetrain, if you at least did something that comes on up top you'll have a better chance of it lasting a little longer.

Re: LT1 Turbo Kit
if i live USA i drive DD 454 or something like that, gas is cheap in USA.
In our country lowest octane is 95 and it costs 1.36euros per liter and 98 1,39-1,40 euros
I dont understand why USA people blame for high gas prices and drives with prius or something.
