Re: LT1 Headers
68479 for painted and 66479 for coated, Hedman shorty d-port headers are probably the best ones to use with their y-pipe. No need to go with the 1 3/4 headers unless the motor is really really built.

Re: LT1 Headers
Alot of guys have run the 1 3/4 and didn't see much of an improvement over the 1 5/8 tubes. The shorty headers I posted up are made for angle plug heads and I haven't had any problems at all with them, easy to change the plugs out with. Just had to drill and weld in the O2 bungs.

Re: LT1 Headers
i will be doing a LE2 from Lloyd Elliot, 58 mm tb, 30lb injectors, and so on. Lloyd suggested finding a good long tube or mid length for this setup. Diggler did you have any ground clearance issues with the super comp's?? i have a set of eibach 2" lowering springs already, so i need to watch my clearance. thanks guys.

Re: LT1 Headers
Well, I say shorties, but they actually dump right below the oil pan, so they could be considered mid length, they are 1 5/8 to 3" collectors, then I have the y-pipe going to a 3" i-pipe. 2" lower you will probably run into problems with the long tube headers, since most have problems with normal springs.

Re: LT1 Headers
speaking from eperience with my LE2 setup the shorties will cost you some horsepower..
My new LTx setup is d-port coated hedman longtubes 3inch collectors into a dual 3inch to 4inch flowmaster y-collector and then a 4inch mufflex system, I used a drews x-member for clearance.
