Question about LT1 wiring harness... 4L60E vs. T56
So I was planning on using a 4L60E for my 96 f-body LT1 swap. Today I was looking over the LT1 wiring harness, but the connector for the 4L60E is no where to be found. I'm assuming the engine came from a car with a T56 then. Does anyone know for sure if a wiring harness from a T56 car wouldn't have the connector for the 4L60E? I figured the harnesses would all be the same...?
Next question... where is the connector for the VSS on a harness from a T56 car?

The Lt1 t56 harness does not have the plug for the 4l60e. You need an lt1 auto harness. If you have all the wiring diagrams you could probably add the plug. A helms manual could give you that info.
Hope this helps.

Thats what I figured, no big deal. I'll just stick with my 700R4. Since I have stock 3.42 rear the stock T56 programming in the ECM should work just fine. Pick up a VATS bypass and I should be all set. My swap just got hundreds of dollars cheaper ![Big Grin](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I guess I could pick up an auto harness to have around for when the 700R4 dies and I move to the 4L60E.

I have the 4l60e plug on my harness, as I used to have one in my car. If you are not in a hurry I can maybe remove the plug ,when the car goes down for winter modding.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't need it. I'm just going to get a complete harness that i can do some surgury on while the car is still driveable to I can really hide the wires and all when I do the 4L60E swap.
