LT1 Swap Guide
Well since I'm working full time right now this summer and it's really slow here at my job I'm thinking of putting together a detailed swap guide and post it on the web. I could use anyones help who feels they can contribute. If possible it would be great for individual people to possibly right different articles on various topics that are involved in the swap for any year. I'm doing the swap with a 93 painless so it's different than a lot of the other swaps who used the regular lt1 harness. Also pictures would be very very helpful. Pictures of finished projects, individual shots of where wires should be connected, etc. Pretty much anything would be helpful. So if you want to help PM me or email me at mliers@gmail.com and in a couple weeks I'd like to get the site up. I will most likely put up a detailed rebuild guide with all the clearances and specs in the future for those who want to rebuild then swap like what I'm doing. Comments and suggestions much appreciated. Thanks to all of you who have helped me with my swap.

Well since my swap and your swap are almost the same, I could help you write it. We should take some pics next time I come over if you have a nice high quality camera. Call me today and let me know which day you are gonna take off next week so I can tell my boss.

I also thought about it. The thing that most people get stuck on is wiring. I've noticed that different factory applications have different wire colors for the same thing, so geting every combo down would be a challenge. You'd have to write it pin out specific, not wire color specific.

exactly what I ran into. All the other stuff is relatively easy compared to writing up something on the wiring. I didn't want to touch that as I don't know enough to cover some of the other situations.

I have done a TBI swap and a TPI swap and the wiring is diffent as said, but once you have the general concept of what goes where and diagrams there isnt a lot of changes done. I will help if needed, I have done a TBI and a TPI swap and they are about the same. Just a few wire colors
