More Headliner Questions
Yesterday, I removed the t-top headliner from my '84 Trans AM. Actually was fairly easy to do that after removing about every piece of plastic in the interior & reviewing flicks on youtube.
The headliner cloth is garbage.
I need to reconnect the "ears" of the board that are about the seat belt at the top. Somehow they broke off so i must repair.
I would assume that i will have to perform some fibreglass work. I am game. Of course I will have clean up the board.
1) would u suggest that I spread a layer of resin over the board to strengthen it?
2) the underside of the headboard was adhered to the "t" frame, the window frame, etc., by an adhesive that adheres the board to the metal framing.
Anyone know what this adhesive is? It remains sticky & would probably adhere again.
3) if I could not repair the board, anyone a supplier of a GOOD t-top replacement board?
