Seat Hinge covers coated in fuzz?

Ive got a 1987 IROC convertible and I am trying my best to do a factory restoration, or as near to factory correct as reasonable funds will permit. It had leather seats and all the interior upgrades. The seat hinge covers are coated in a fuzzy material that is mostly worn off now. Anybody know if there is any sort of product that will reproduce that finish? I don't care what color it would be as I can use SEM dye to make it the color I need.

My other 87 IROC did not have this fuzzy stuff on the hinge covers. No idea why one would and one wouldnt.

As you can see the "fuzz" is worn off in places on my power seat control
panel.
I don't know if any product is avail. that would reproduce that effect.

Will keep my eye on this thread for a answer.

I believe that is called "flocking". Look up "flocking powder" on google.

It is flocking. I didn't know any of our seat trim came from the factory covered in that.

YUP..................
Its out there in google and fleabay.
Looks like a involved process along with parts removal, spreading adhesive
and using compressed air to blow the flocking on the wet adhesive.

Comes in lots of colors too!
