3rd gen interior question
new to this site and forum, so I appreciate any help. My son just got an '89 formula that needs work (as mine did when I got my '68 back in the day). I have found decent seats and door panels that the owner says are 91/92. Will these fit an '89? Appreciate any help anyone can lend. Thanks

Re: 3rd gen interior question
Yes they will, third gen interior parts were pretty consistent and interchangeable throughout all years. It is also possible to use many interior parts from 4th gens that are sometimes nicer.

Yes and no. There were slight changes over the production run such as split rear seats, 3 point belts in the rear, rear cargo lids, power pull down hatch motors, and some other stuff too. Most of the changes had to do with the rear of the car and dealt mostly with the interior plastics. For the most part if you stay with '85 and up you should be good to go.
Seats from almost any f-body will fit and door panels from any 82-92 will also fit with no issue.

Re: 3rd gen interior question
If the door panels are from a 90-92 Firebird, they are going to have the holes where the cup holders were mounted, as your 89 does not have these cup holders.
