Steering colum problem

So my steering is fine with regular driving, nothing is loose or anything like that but if I pull down to the left a little the entire wheel and column moves, almost an inch. Anyone know what the deal is?

Re: Steering colum problem

Is there a bracket on the underside of the column that bolts upward to the underside of the dash?

Re: Steering colum problem

There are a few screws located within the column. Gotta take it apart to tighten those.

Could be the tilt pivots are worn and will need to replace the tilt hard parts.

Well I ended up getting it apart pretty far but I think one of those pins is either worn or popped out somehow because nothing is loose so far, but I had to leave it till this weekend when I get a chance to mess with it
