Window fogging, humid rainy days..
92, RS
It's a pain to drive in rainy weather (not that I want to) I almost never drive the car in bad weather. But those times I do...
Window fog. Sucks. Wipe off, comes back. Vents are blowing, Ac works, Heat works. So what else could it be? Settings on defrost...blowing on window.
It just doesn't seem powerful enough hot or cold.
Maybe the blower motor?. Vents not fully opening? Not sure.

Re: Window fogging, humid rainy days..
Quite possible damper not swinging all the way over to force all the air up to defrost vents. Damper is down in/near the heater coil box or right next to it. My 90 iroc damper is there .... Is air leaking out anywhere else /other vents while in defrost mode ?
when you slide the HVAC temp selector lever the cable should open/close waterflow to the heater coil. Also if you hear a hissing sound there is a vacuum valve in there that operates the actuators,. If Vac leak then maybe the issue. There was a repair vid on YT fixing the vac valve to better operate the actuators/dampers.

Are you sure the heater core's not leaking? Just because you have heat doesn't mean it doesn't have a leak...

The heater core was replaced not long ago. No evidence of leaking. I'm leaning towards damper because it sure takes it's sweet *** time switching from settings or some type of vacuum.
I wish I could just throw a turbo blower motor in there and be done with it. heh

There might be something else going on, the car was overheating a bit the other day.

Re: Window fogging, humid rainy days..
Was the replacement heater core a new AC-Delco OE, or a new aftermarket brand? OR was it repaired/used? Was it air tested prior to installation? Also heater core could have been damaged during installation. It does sound like it is seeping a little. You would not notice a leak under those circumstances. I would pressure test your cooling system first, to rule out the heater core. Good luck.
