firebird dash speaker grills
Ok so as we all know, nobody makes a firebird dash speaker grills replacement of any sort, or at least none that i've been able to find. I have yet to see any bird with a set of grills that don't flop around because the plastic studs snapped off. Nevermind how horribly they fade and make the dash look bad. sometimes they're hacked to death from someone trying to salvage it.
So that said I took it upon myself to make a set. I wanna see what others think of them.
I made them out if standard 1/8" tempered Masonite, cut out with a router for accuracy, added an A frame shape to help prevent sagging while allowing plenty of space for sound travel. Used a standard headliner material. hardware and is very simple 6/32 machine screws with washers and mounts very sturdily.
so here are the pics (some quite crappy)

If only there were pictures.
EDIT: They look excellent. Much better than the factory junk.

Are you still interested in selling the speaker grills? I'd purchase two sets from you for my 88'. Let me know
