Couple of seat issues
I started redoing the upholstery on my '86 Firebird, already got the back seats done.
Then I moved on to the passenger seat and noticed the foam cushion under the upholstery has some major tears. Is there anything that I could use to "glue" it back together or should I buy a new seat?
Also, I noticed that the little black lever on the back of the seat doesn't work. It should lock the seat so that it won't tilt forwards unless you pull the lever. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't, there's some part slipping inside the mechanism but I can't seem to locate the problem.

Re: Couple of seat issues
Let's add one more problem... I ordered a ready-made upholstery kit specifically for this car. However the front seat covers have velcro in the wrong places and the upholstery won't stay in place! What can be done? Back seats had only hog rings so there was no problem.
Also, I tried Bison contact glue for the tears and I think it worked just fine.
